Fit After 45 Women publishes general wellness information for women in midlife. This page explains how we research, write, and correct our articles, so you can judge how much to trust them.
Where does our information come from?
Health claims in our guides are based on public health agencies, medical organizations, and peer-reviewed research. We link to the sources we rely on at the end of each guide. Examples include:
- U.S. government health agencies, such as the National Institutes of Health and the CDC
- Professional medical organizations, such as The Menopause Society
- Peer-reviewed studies indexed in PubMed
We do not use supplement makers, product sellers, or influencer claims as evidence.
Who writes our content?
Articles are written and edited by the Fit After 45 Women editorial team. Our guides are not currently reviewed by a medical professional, and they are not medical advice. Read our medical disclaimer before starting a new exercise or eating routine, and talk with your doctor if you have a health condition.
What do we refuse to publish?
- Crash diets, very low calorie plans, cleanses, or detoxes
- Diagnoses, treatment prescriptions, or medication advice
- Promises of specific weight loss results
How do affiliate links fit in?
Some gear articles contain affiliate links. They never decide what we recommend. See our affiliate disclosure for details.
How do we handle corrections?
If you spot an error, email hello@fitafter45women.com. We review every correction request and update the article when we find a mistake.
