This privacy policy explains what information Fit After 45 Women (fitafter45women.com) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email us at hello@fitafter45women.com.

Information collected automatically
- Server logs: like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit.
- Cookies: small files stored in your browser. See the cookies section below.
How do we use your information?
- To reply to your messages
- To send the newsletter and free guides you sign up for
- To display and moderate comments
- To keep the site secure and working properly
- To understand which content is useful so we can improve it
We do not sell your email address or the personal information you give us.
What cookies does this site use?
- Essential cookies: used by WordPress and our hosting to run the site, such as remembering your details if you choose to when leaving a comment.
- Advertising cookies: see the advertising section below.
- Affiliate cookies: when you click an affiliate link, the retailer may set a cookie to credit us for the referral.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work properly if you do.
Do we show advertising?
We may display ads served by Google and other third-party advertising partners. These third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. To learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Do we use affiliate links?
Some posts contain affiliate links, including links to Amazon. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The retailer, not us, handles your purchase and payment information. See our affiliate disclosure for details.
Who do we share information with?
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site, and only as needed for them to provide their services:
- Hosting: our web host stores the site and its server logs.
- Email newsletter provider: stores subscriber email addresses and sends our newsletter.
- Gravatar: if you leave a comment, an anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to see if you have a profile picture.
- Advertising and affiliate partners: as described above.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
How long do we keep your information?
- Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
- Comments and their details are kept indefinitely so follow-up comments can be approved automatically, unless you ask us to remove them.
- Emails are kept as long as needed to respond and keep a record of our conversation.
What choices and rights do you have?
- Unsubscribe: every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.
- Access or delete: you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@fitafter45women.com.
- Advertising choices: use the opt-out links in the advertising section above.
Depending on where you live, including California, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws, such as the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. To make a request, email us and we will respond as required by applicable law.
How do we respond to Do Not Track signals?
There is no common standard for how websites should respond to Do Not Track browser signals, so this site does not currently respond to them. You can still control cookies through your browser and the opt-out links above.
Is this site intended for children?
No. Fit After 45 Women is written for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Will this policy change?
We may update this policy as the site changes, for example when we add new tools or services. We will update the effective date at the top when we do.
